When to Order Personalized Gifts for the Holidays (and Last-Minute Ideas)
Share
Personalized gifts are made just for the person you are giving them to, which means they take a little more time than grabbing something off a shelf. Here is a simple plan so your custom gifts arrive on time.
How long do custom gifts take?
Every Patch Out Loud tote and sweatshirt is made to order. We hand-apply your patches and ship in 7 to 10 business days, then shipping time depends on where it is going. We recommend ordering at least 3 weeks before you need it, and earlier during the December rush.
A simple holiday timeline
- Early to mid November: the best time to order. Plenty of time for matching family sets and group gifts.
- Late November: great for Hanukkah gifts, hostess gifts and early holiday parties.
- Early December: the very last window for Christmas delivery, so order as early in the month as you can.
- Have a firm date? Contact us before you order and we will do our best to help.
Ordering for a group?

Tips to order faster
- Decide initials before you start. Up to 3 letter patches per item.
- Pick 5 patches. They are included in the price.
- Use the placement box if you want patches in a certain spot, or leave it blank and we will arrange them.
Running late? Last-minute ideas
- Order now and wrap a photo of the design with a note that the real thing is on its way.
- Give it as a New Year's gift. A cozy crewneck is perfect for January.
- Plan ahead for Valentine's Day with a monogrammed tote.
